About the Big Dog's Satellite Championships: Team Greece

Kefalonia hosts Greece's contribution to the worldwide satellite championship. National-team points accumulate with every yard, while the individual race narrows toward one last runner.

Course

The out-and-back yard starts on the Argostoli waterfront beside Koutavos Lagoon. It follows dirt roads and trail through Koutavos Park toward Ancient Krani before returning through the park; the organizer describes a nearly flat route with 90% dirt road and 10% trail.

Race-day weather

Kefalonia is often mild in autumn, but coastal humidity, showers, wind, and cooler overnight hours can complicate pacing and clothing choices.
