About the ASICS Run Melbourne Half Marathon

A winter fixture in central Melbourne, ASICS Run Melbourne combines a large city event with a one-lap half marathon that stays close to the Yarra and several of the city's best-known running landmarks.

Course

The route starts on Batman Avenue, crosses the central city and Docklands, follows the Yarra, circles the Tan and finishes inside Melbourne Park. Bridges, riverside paths and city streets keep the one-lap course varied without turning it into an out-and-back.

Race-day weather

July is winter in Melbourne, so runners should expect a cool start with the possibility of wind or rain. Exposed sections by the river and Docklands can feel colder than sheltered city streets.
